How long is “short term” van hire?
What do I need to bring to collect the van?
Bring your driving licence and a form of ID, and be ready to complete the payment/deposit at collection. We'll confirm any additional requirements when you book. Please note: we do not deliver vehicles—collection and return is from our Halifax depot.
Which van size should I hire for my job?
As a rule of thumb: small vans are ideal for tools and small loads, SWB vans suit everyday trade work, MWB vans are great for delivery routes and bulkier items, LWB vans handle longer materials and larger loads, and Luton vans are best for house moves and large boxed items. Tell us what you're carrying and we'll recommend the best fit.
Can I extend my short term van rental?
Yes—most hires can be extended week-to-week, subject to availability. If you know you'll need more time, just contact us as early as possible so we can keep the same van or line up an alternative if needed.
Is insurance included in the hire price?
Insurance is not included in the quoted hire price. We'll confirm all available cover options when you enquire, including what (if any) excess applies and any optional damage waiver choices (where available). If you have any questions at all, we'll be happy to talk you through everything and help you choose the right level of cover.
Do you offer unlimited mileage on short term hires?
Unlimited mileage may be available on selected vans and hire periods. Let us know roughly how far you expect to travel and we'll confirm the best mileage package for your booking.
Can I take the van outside the UK?
Overseas hire may be available by arrangement. If you need to travel abroad, tell us your destination, dates and vehicle type and we'll confirm eligibility and any additional documents/requirements.
What if I break down during the hire?
We can provide 24/7 breakdown and recovery support on our hire packages. If an issue occurs, follow the instructions provided at collection and contact us right away so we can get you moving again as quickly as possible.
